CMEC exists to raise awareness and understanding of the Middle East among Conservative MPs, Peers and in the wider Conservative Party, including among their staff and Prospective Parliamentary candidates.

CMEC is a vehicle by which Conservatives can improve their understanding of the Middle East.

CMEC hosts debates and other speaker events in Parliament and provides briefings to Conservative Parliamentarians on issues as they arise from events in the region. These events provide current and future Parliamentarians with the chance to deepen their understanding by meeting informally and listening to visiting academics and specialists from the UK, the US and the Middle East.
