The British-Iranian Chamber of Commerce (BICC) invited the CMEC Chairman, Crispin Blunt MP, to be the principal guest and key note speaker at their reception in the House of Lords.

It is the only body that exists to forward these aims and works closely with its counterpart chamber in Iran, the Iran-British Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines.

Mr Blunt’s speech, (download PDF here), was well received by the audience who were made up of members of the British and Iranian business community in the UK. In it he said, “We are learning more every day and doing so at a time when the future of Iran’s relationships with the West have never been more critical”.

The Chairman of BICC, the Rt. Hon. Lord Lamont of Lerwick, gave a warm welcome to Crispin Blunt as did Martin Johnston, the Director General of BICC who also spoke at the reception.
