CMEC recently led its first delegation to North Africa. Following a successful visit CMEC is planning further trips to the region in the future with a delegation to Morocco expected in 2010.

A CMEC delegation visited Egypt in September 2009 following an invitation to visit Cairo from the People's Assembly. During the five day visit the delegation met with a number of prominent Egyptian personalities including the First Lady, Gamal Muburak and the Foreign Minister. The CMEC delegates also enjoyed a breakfast with HM Ambassador, Dominic Asquith.
